2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information, such as your name, email address, login method, and password credentials handled by our authentication system.
• Career content, such as resumes, work history, education, skills, job descriptions, cover letters, ATS reports, and messages you submit to the AI-assisted tools.
• Support communications and other information you choose to send us.
• Transaction details, such as your plan, payment status, renewal status, and identifiers associated with a Stripe transaction. We do not store full payment-card numbers.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site, we and our service providers may collect device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, referring pages, pages viewed, interaction data, timestamps, cookies, and security or diagnostic logs.

3. How we use information

• Provide, personalize, and maintain the resume, ATS, cover letter, workspace, export, and account features you request.
• Authenticate users and preserve account-linked drafts and workflow progress.
• Process purchases, maintain plan access, manage renewals and cancellations, and send transactional messages.
• Respond to support requests and communicate service or policy changes.
• Protect the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and comply with legal obligations.
• Understand site performance and improve the usability and reliability of our services.

4. AI-assisted processing

When you use an AI-assisted feature, the content needed to complete your request may be sent to our AI infrastructure provider, including Groq, for processing. This may include resume text, job descriptions, cover letter instructions, and related prompts.

CV Objective does not sell your career content and does not use it to train its own AI models. Our AI providers process data under their own contractual, security, retention, and abuse-prevention terms. Avoid submitting information that is not needed for your career documents, particularly highly sensitive personal information.

AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review all output before using it.

5. When we share information

We disclose information only as needed to operate the service, complete a transaction, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transfer. Providers may include:

• Groq and related AI infrastructure providers, to generate requested AI-assisted content.
• Stripe, to process payments, subscriptions, refunds when applicable, and fraud prevention.
• Google Analytics, to measure website usage and performance.
• Hosting, WordPress, storage, security, and technical providers, to operate and protect the website and account system.
• Email delivery providers, to deliver password resets, purchase confirmations, support replies, and service notices.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential sessions, account access, security, preferences, and analytics. Google Analytics may receive information such as your device, browser, IP-derived approximate location, viewed pages, and interactions. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although essential features may stop working correctly.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep account information and saved workspace content while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete individual drafts through available product controls.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify account-linked personal information that we are not required to retain. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or fraud-prevention systems. Transaction and tax records may be retained for the periods required by applicable law. Third-party providers retain information according to their own policies and legal obligations.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a privacy request.

Send requests to support@cvobjective.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

9. International data transfers

CV Objective serves users globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.

10. Children and minors

Public website content may be viewed by users of any age. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

CV Objective is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.
